Homura's interventions during the course of the anime prevented this change. Madoka's kindness in this first timeline towards Homura is one of the major reasons why Homura is so drawn to her. We also learn that whenever Madoka made a contract and become a Magical Girl, she would act much more confident since it gave her a sense of purpose. Madoka also treated Homura very nicely from the beginning, who at that time was being bullied. In episode 10, it is revealed that this Madoka is one of many, each one before her having died in their respective timelines.įrom Drama CD 1 "Memories of you", the reason Madoka became a Magical Girl in the first timeline is to save a cat which had been run over by a car. History Madoka in the Anime and Drama CDs Īfter Mami's death, Madoka changed her mind about becoming a magical girl. She calls most girls she knows by their given name with the suffix "-chan" or "-san" at the end, and boys by their family name with the suffix "-kun", showing that she is closer to the girls than boys. As a magical girl, she is more obviously confident in herself than before her wish. She has been known to become flustered easily, and in certain circumstances, she can be easily manipulated by others playing on her insecurity and desire to help. She has low self-confidence, and she believes she does not have much to offer the world unless she is helping people, which makes becoming a magical girl appealing to her. Though sometimes shy, she makes friends without much difficulty and treats others gently and with respect. However if you’re looking for a magical girl figure-īut in all seriousness, Kyoko is pretty cool too.Madoka first appears to a naive, gentle girl from a kind family. Yeah if you’re a Madoka fan, you’ll probably want this figma to complete your set. It’s definitely makes Kyoko a far more interesting figure. I really love this spear building mechanic. With this gimmick Kyoko becomes totally epic in my book. Especially since every owner of this figma can create their own ridiculous/badass looking spear. I find this capability both innovative and fun. Literally you can build your own spear! Using the chains combined with the small gold pipes, you can create your own spear for Kyoko to use. However, that was when I discovered one of the coolest figma accessories… Furthermore, when I first opened it, she was really difficult to pose (due to her hair/dress). To start, it cost a lot more than any regular figma should (that’s what I get for waiting a year >_>). To be honest, I really didn’t like this figma Kyoko at first. Also this Kyubey is much cooler than Madoka’s Kyubey just saying…Īs for Kyoko’s last accessory, I’d like to discuss it in full in the final section of this review. Kyoko also comes with Kyubey and a hand to replicate the scene of her holding him up from the anime. Kyoko also comes with 2 pock sticks to place in her mouth (which helps since like with Madoka’s grief seeds, these are very easy to lose). Kyoko also comes with 2 distinct hands, one holding a box of pocky (shown above), another holding some fish-shaped desert she’s often seen eating in the promotional art (being forced upon Homura below). The spear head comes off, making it easy to attach to her hands. Though if you display her without the pocky it looks like she has a random hole in her teeth (guess that’s from all the candy she eats ^^). As for her pocky eating face, it’s also very cool. Furthermore, with her angry face, she has a nice range of emotion. I really like her default face oddly enough. I’ve completed the set and I’ll never want to buy another Madoka figma again. Yep, there definitely aren’t 2 really expensive Madoka figmas that I can’t afford. Well time to review the last Madoka figma.
